Junior & Youth Otters
Junior Otters is a pre-competitive program structured to teach new athletes the fundamental skills they need to successfully move into our intro-competitive level, Youth Otters. In both programs, athletes will have the opportunity to develop the building blocks of all four competitive strokes -Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke and Freestyle. Learn more >
Bronze Program
In Bronze, swimmers learn to swim all four competitive strokes, freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly, and begin to strengthen their flip turns and starts. This level can be exciting for young swimmers as they begin to attend bigger invitational swim meets, although attendance at meets is still not mandatory. Learn more >
Silver Program
This program is designed to improve the technical endurance of each swimmer — meaning, they can execute longer meters without breaking the legal and efficient technique of all four strokes of swimming. Athletes at the highest levels possess higher levels of fitness, technique and skills separate the gold medal from eighth place. Learn more >
Gold Program
This program is designed for the athlete who is planning on gradually prioritizing swimming as their primary sport. Athletes in this program begin to learn how to bring more intention to their mental and physical habits in and out of the pool while being more deliberate within their training sessions and improving their sports intelligence to hold themselves accountable. Learn more >
Platinum Program
This program is designed for the athlete who is beginning to move in the direction of “performance” swimming. Athletes in this program need to be self-motivated and show a higher degree of commitment, character, and attitude. Learn more >
National Program
The emphasis of this group is to prepare the swimmer for senior level competition and training. Swimmers and parents will need to demonstrate an understanding of their role in the athlete’s ability to compete at a high level. Swimmers will learn how to train for a successful championship meet through the understanding of the process of training, the development of seasonal plans, and the understanding of a taper and how it works to maximize the end of the season meets. UCRO’s House League program is a fun, team-based training option for swimmers ages 12 and up who want to improve their technique, stay active, and enjoy the sport without the pressure of regular competitions. Swimmers can participate in UCRO’s home Splash & Grill meet.
The Cross-training program provides an alternative training program for all individuals, regardless of age and skill level, who are not interested in pursuing competitions but rather create a stronger bond with the water and the sport of swimming, all while benefiting from a healthy and active lifestyle.
